Hello and welcome to our dedicated Manchester United transfers blog. The Manchester Evening News will have you covered at every step with the latest news, views and rumours from Old Trafford and beyond.
The deals keep on rolling in for United this summer. Bruno Fernandes has extended his contract with United until 2027 and there's an option included to extend that agreement by another 12 months.
It comes after United rubber-stamped transfers for Noussair Mazraoui and Matthijs de Ligt on Tuesday night. The ex-Ajax double act are well known to Erik ten Hag and have cost the club around £60million combined.
Speculation over Jadon Sancho remains at fever pitch, meanwhile, as the re-integrated forward continues to see his name linked with a move to PSG this summer. It's been claimed by The Independent that Sancho could be the bargaining chip that prompts the French outfit to sell Manuel Ugarte to United.
Chelsea are also tipped to come calling. At least that's according to emerging reports from Germany.
Academy graduate Scott McTominay is another player thought to be attracting interest. Italian side Napoli have, reportedly, discussed a possible loan deal for the midfielder - after Fulham had offers rejected earlier this summer.

Erik ten Hag answers United transfer question
Noussair Mazraoui, Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt and Joshua Zirkzee have all signed this summer. Since being appointed United manager, Erik ten Hag and the Dutch or Eredivisie market have gone hand in hand. However, he insists United are not overly preferent one way or another when it comes to their transfer dealings;
Not for favourite. First of all, club decisions, none of them are only my decision. It is always backed or even brought up through the scouting, recruitment, technical director, sporting director, it is a decision made by more than only one. But, some, you know also players and personalities and it has to fit also in the finances.

PSG make Manuel Ugarte squad call amid interest
PSG have omitted Manuel Ugarte from the matchday squad for their impending Ligue 1 opener. United are thought to be in the market for Ugarte this summer, although they have been unable to reach an agreement for the 23-year-old midfielder. The door, seemingly, remains open in perhaps the biggest hint dropped yet over his future;

United are still in the market to sign a defensive midfielder. After completing deals for Noussair Mazraoui, Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt and Joshua Zirkzee this summer, Ineos are pursuing their options. It's thought that further swoops are dependant on player sales. Reports from Sky Sports indicate talks are ongoing between United and Burnley over a deal for Sander Berge - although PSG's Manuel Ugarte is still viewed in-house as a priority target.

Rio Ferdinand reflects on Ivan Toney interest
United have been linked with a move for Brentford striker Ivan Toney this summer.
The 28-year-old is hot property across the Premier League as he prepares to enter the final 12 months of his contract. However, a sizable transfer fee continues to be mooted for his signature and United hero Rio Ferdinand - speaking on social media - reckons Toney might not be the right option;
Personally I wouldn't go for someone like Ivan Toney. I think the age, that profile is wrong for the club. I just don't see it as a fit. I found it a bit strange. He was someone everyone was talking about could go to Arsenal or could go to Chelsea for £100m, £80m or whatever, but all of a sudden there are no bidders. I'm mystified as to why that is. For Man United, I just don't see it as a fit.

He has been re-integrated into the first-team following THAT spat with Erik ten Hag last season. However, the Blues are said to be weighing up an offer for Sancho which involves two Academy players in a money part-swap deal. Interesting.

Joshua Zirkzee verdict
Former Manchester United man Rene Meulensteen has said that Joshua Zirkzee could be a really good signing for United - if he adapts to the Premier League quickly.
Speaking to Gambling Zone, he said:
"If Joshua Zirkzee trains and performs well then he can quickly be a starter for Manchester United, he’s that guy. He has a strong personality and is agile and fairly quick for a big guy.
"He has a strong personality and he’s good at running in behind and off the shoulder. For a big boy, he's also technically very good. So he can also play very well with his back to goal and bring other players in. He can also drop a bit deeper at times so he's a really complete number nine.
"He's tall, he’s good in the air and maybe he isn’t the sort of player that you just need to get the ball to in the box and he’ll do the rest, but you can use him in creating attacks and rely on him for clever movement.
"I think it's a very good signing and he could even play alongside Rasmus Hojlund, he can be the one that drops deep and although Ten Hag would have to change the system, that could work."

United make left-back 'offer'
Manchester United have made an offer for Fenerbahce full-back Ferdi Kadioglu, as they attempt to beat Brighton to the signing, according to reports in Turkey.
Sporx claim that United's initial offer is higher than Brighton's, but Brighton's bonuses take their's higher. The player is said to be keen on a move to England, with United being his preference, but he would also be open to a move to Brighton.

Roberto De Zerbi reveals Mason Greenwood warning
Roberto De Zerbi has revealed the warning he sent Mason Greenwood before he joined Marseille from Manchester United.
Speaking to L'Equipe, De Zerbi said:"'Greenwood is the first player I called. I spoke with his father, who must be the same age as me.
"I warned him about the demands of this club, telling him: 'Marseille in Marseille'. "He replied: 'I remember the historic Marseille which played in European Cup finals.'
De Zerbi added: "'I said that when a player becomes my player, I am the first to pin him to the wall when he makes a mistake.
"But towards the outside, I will always defend him as I would defend my son."

The one thing Noussair Mazraoui will bring to Manchester United is just what Erik ten Hag needs
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag believes Noussair Mazraoui will adapt to English football as he is skilled at "finding solutions".
United bought the right back from Bayern Munich in a £16.1million deal on Tuesday and the Morocco international could make his debut against Fulham in the Premier League opening fixture on Friday night.
Mazraoui, 26, is predominantly a right back but can play on the left and both of United's senior left backs, Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia, are sidelined through injury. Centre back Lisandro Martinez filled in against Manchester City in the Community Shield last week.
United struggled last season partly due to how injury-prone their left-footed defenders were but Ten Hag is convinced they have adequate cover now, even with Malacia still sidelined and Shaw injured again.
"We were looking and we can sort problems over the left side," Ten Hag said. "For instance Licha Martinez and Diogo Dalot are capable of playing there. Mazraoui is an additional one who can fill the position as long as Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia aren’t in the team.
"They are different and I think it’s quite difficult to put him (Mazraoui) under pressure, especially in English football, that can be very beneficial. "In English football there is always pressure on the ball. This is a player: oof his key attribute is it is very difficult to put him under pressure because he often finds solutions.”

Sharpe: 'United can finish in the top four - but it rests on one condition'
According to former United winger Lee Sharpe, the club will achieve a top four finish this season - provided they avoid a repeat of last season's injury crisis.
United finished a disappointing eighth last season, directly as a result of an injury crisis unlike anything that had been seen before. The Reds are already carrying issues going into this campaign and will be without Leny Yoro, Luke Shaw and Rasmus Hojlund against Fulham tomorrow night.
Sharpe told Highest Payout Online Casino:
"If they stay injury-free, United can finish top four. I don't think they can win the title, but I think a spot in the Champions League is well-achievable. They have a strong squad with good depth and providing they avoid the injury plague that they dealt with last year, they'll have a chance at the top four."

Manchester United make double decision as Erik ten Hag provides Luke Shaw injury update
Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui will be in the Manchester United squad for their opening Premier League game of the season against Fulham at Old Trafford.
United bought centre back De Ligt and right back Mazraoui in a £60million deal from Bayern Munich in midweek and the duo are in contention to make their debuts. Left back Luke Shaw (calf) has been ruled out until September, fellow left back Tyrell Malacia (knee) is not expected back until October and centre half Leny Yoro is out until late October at the earliest due to a fractured metatarsal.
United manager Erik ten Hag did not specify if the squad had incurred any more injury setbacks since they drew with Manchester City in the Community Shield last week.
"Issues are there but it’s not about the players who are not available, it’s about the players who are available," Ten Hag said. "We have a good group, we can make a strong selection, we can put out a strong team and we will do.
"They (De Ligt and Mazraoui) will be in the squad. And Harry Maguire will be in the squad as well."
Ten Hag stressed Shaw's absence is short-term. The 29-year-old has not played for United since February 18 yet he appeared three times for England at the European Championship before sustaining an injury on his first week back at United.
"I think he will return in the short-term, doesn’t take long," Ten Hag clarified. "We are looking forward, of course. Luke Shaw is a very important player for our team so he’s massive, important, we want to get him back as soon as possible but we can’t force this process."

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly ready to move 'move on' from their interest in Manchester United forward Jadon Sancho.

Manchester United make shirt partnership decision ahead of new season
Manchester United and Qualcomm Technologies have triggered the extension of their principal shirt partnership, meaning the deal will now run until 2029.
The extension follows record-breaking home, away and third shirt launches which feature the Snapdragon brand on the front of United's shirts for the first time. Snapdragon is Qualcomm Technologies' consumer brand of processors and can be found in more than three billion devices globally.
Qualcomm Technologies became an official global partner of United in August 2022. Since the launch of United's 2024/25 home shirt last month, Snapdragon Insiders - a global community of Snapdragon enthusiasts - has grown 256 per cent in the past month.
As part of the extension, Qualcomm Technologies has expanded its rights into the PC category and activated the right to nominate a logo to appear on the back of United's shirts this season. As seen at Wembley in the Community Shield last weekend, the logo is placed beneath the squad numbers and will be visible on the back of shirts in Women's Super League fixtures as well as certain other men's, women's and academy fixtures this term.
