Riley Green’s Duck Blind, situated at 1913 Division Street in the heart of Nashville’s Midtown district, is officially open! The full-service bar and kitchen occupies the former home of Winners Bar & Grill and is connected to the famed Losers Bar & Grill, both of which were owned by George Strait’s late manager, Erv Woolsey, who died in March of 2024.
Grand Opening Of Riley Green’s Duck Blind: September 3, 2024
On Tuesday afternoon (Sept. 3), the country superstar was on hand to surprise a capacity crowd of music industry personnel, friends, family and his corgi Carl during the grand opening celebration to welcome everyone into the highly-anticipated establishment.
“This is a pretty big deal for me. Thank y’all very much for all the support in this, and something that was always pretty important to me when I started writing the songs was trying to be authentic and that I try to write about things that I know. I write about where I grew up and my family and things that I learned in a small town in Alabama.” Riley Green, whose nickname is “Duckman,” said as he took to the stage.
Green continued, “I think that’s what’s so cool about this bar venue here is that this is where I hung out at. I mean, I didn’t spend a lot of time on Broadway. Every relationship I’ve gotten in this town has been probably right here, and I met a lot of great people right here in this bar, so it’s kind of full circle for me to have a part of it and have my name on something right here.”

Partnership With Riley Green And Steve Ford
Green partnered with Nashville entrepreneur and friend Steve Ford, who owns Losers Nashville, Losers MGM Las Vegas, DawgHouse Saloon & Sports Book at Resorts World Las Vegas and more, to open Riley Green’s Duck Blind. While on stage at his newly opened bar, Green opened up about the first time he met Ford early on in his career, seven years ago.
“I was really, really fortunate to come in here and sit when this was Winners, and he was one of the first people I met in town, and I remember how he talked to me,” he explained. “He’s been so great to me as a friend, and I think there’s a handful of people that I would consider going into business with, and Steve’s at the top of that list, and I can’t thank him enough for letting me be a part of something that’s already successful. This isn’t something that we’re having to guess on. I mean, he’s got such a great business over here, and this place has always been a pretty special place to me. So just getting to put my name on, it’s been awesome.”
Pay Homage To Winners Bar & Grill, The Perfect Place To Watch Sports
Formerly home to Winners Bar & Grill, the bar has been completely transformed to honor two essential parts of Riley Green‘s roots: southern culture and sports. However, there are still some memorable pieces of Winners remaining in the establishment, including the infamous Winners-branded bar, refurbished tables as well as the original stage on the first floor.
Throughout Riley Green’s Duck Blind, there are select items reflecting Green’s career, including neon lights of songs titles such as “Outlaws Like Us,” “You Look Like You Love Me,” as well as a verse from his song “Same Old Song” that reads “If I Had A Buck For Every Green Head Duck.” Logos of Busch Light, a brand that Riley Green has partnered with in the past, were also present on the walls of the bar and restaurant.
The second floor of Riley Green’s Duck Blind is the perfect place to sit down, have a drink and watch any sporting event, with massive TV screens wrapping around nearly the entire perimeter of the room.
