Hope Baptist Church

Our Core Beliefs

Biblical Authority
The book of James declares that christians should "
Be ye
doers of the word, and not hearers only, decieving your own
selves" (James 1:22)

We believe the Holy Scriptures of the KJV Old and New
Testaments to be the Bible, as it is in truth, the WORD of
God... (1 Thessalonians 2:13) We believe that God has
preseved his Holy word and kept His word pure to every
generation (2 Timothy 3:16 and Psalm 12:6-8)

The Godhead

We believe in one Truine God, eternally existing in 3 persons,
Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Deuteronomy 6:4, II Corinthians 13:14)

The Person and Work of Christ
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man, without ceasing to be God, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful men
(John1:1-2, 14; Luke 1:35; Isaiah 9:6; Phillipians 2:5-8; Galatians 4:4-5)
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ accomplished our redemption through His finished work on the cross sacrifice, burial and ressurection (Romans 3:24-25; I Peter 2-24, Ephesians 1:7; I Peter 1:3-5)
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ ascended to Heaven and is now exalted at the right hand of God. (Acts 1:9-10; Hebrews 9:24, 7:25; Romans 8:34; I John 2:1-2)

Soul Winning and Evangelism
Jesus commands the church to "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature" (Mark 16:15) At Hope
we obey this command by reaching others with the message of Christ in our own community with weekly visitation and soul winning. We reach the rest of the world with our support to Missionaries throughout the world.

God Centered Hymns
Music is another way we can worship God, the bible encourages Christians to be "teaching an admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord" (Colossians 3:16) At Hope we are careful to choose songs that are doctrinally correct, spiritually edifying and conservative.

Our Vision
To know Jesus, who He is, what He says and how He loves, to grow in our relationship with God and others and to go tell the world the good news about God's salvation and the Holy spirit that fills us in our salvation.

Our Goal
At Hope our goal is to exalt the Saviour, equip the saints and evangelize the sinner. We believe that the true mission of the church is found in the Great Commission: First, to make indivisual disciples; Second, to build up the church; Third, to teach and instruct as He has commanded.

Our Motto
"God is good , all the time, and all the time God is good!"

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
II Timothy 3:16
